Nice Day for a wedding at the park...

It started off to be a beautiful day at the Rengstorff House in Mt. View. We were invited to our cousin Heather's wedding...everyone but Glen was able to go :-( . It was Glen's day to stay back with his folks (his siblings all take turns each weekend to keep his parents company and to help them out. Also, to give Uncle Howie a little bit of a break). It all starts with our Mom and Dad...

Dad, Janie, George, me and Mom

Sisters...40 is the new 30's :-)

My older sister and my older brother (hehe)

Over all, the day was great. Glen got to spend some good quality time time with his folks (no computer or cell phone in the way)...and I was able to hang out on a beautiful day with my kids and my family. We're all so busy with so many things going on in our lives....so when we get a chance to hang out with no interruptions, we always have a fun time. It's always goes back to family...

Justin's 5th Birthday.....again.

Yesterday we celebrated Justin's 5th Birthday.....again. This time we had all of his pre-school friends and some of his cousins over. He wanted to have a pony at his party so after some searching, Renee found this place that turned out to be perfect! They brought over two beautiful little ponies and the kids got turn after turn riding them around our backyard. Everybody seemed to have a great time! Happy Birthday Justin!!

Spicy Bryce......

Justin had his buddy Bryce over to play on a fun Friday night.....Spicy Bryce is his nickname...at least at the Kumamoto's house. He had Uncle Glen's raviolis for the first time....I think he liked it.......but can't say for sure.

Justin and Bryce watched a few shows and got bored....then I turned on Pokeman and things got crazy.....they spent the rest of the night playing Pokeman.....running around like crazy. They asked if they could have popsicles.....as I did not want to get up because I was watching TV....I said, "sure, go knock yourself out, just make sure you close the freezer door..." . To this day, I'm not sure how many they ate.......

The announcer said an interesting quote, "We must always thank the men and women who serve in our armed forces, they are the ones that fly the flag into battle, plant the flag in victory and lie under the flag in death....all so that the people that want to burn the flag in protest have the right to do so in a free country...."

Doggie 911

The other day, my dog Zilly was feeling sad because we had been out of town for one night. He gets like that when I'm gone. So I thought I would spend some quality time with him....we laid down together and I rubbed his belly while he chewed on his rawhide. I noticed him swallow a big chunk but did not think much about it. After a while, he started breathing real hard....so I called the vet...it's about 9:30 at night....and I take him in to see what's going on. I explain to the vet what happened and she reached down his throat...down past her wrist and pulled out a huge chunk of rawhide. Yuck......

For those of you that have seen Zilly, he's fat.....he knows it, I know it, everybody knows it.....but I just want to say....last year he weighed 154 lbs, now he weighs 132 lbs!! If he keeps losing weight like this, he may have to have plastic surgery to get rid of the loose skin! Good job Zilly, keep it up!!!

Back Bloggin' ......

The other weekend we had a very special visit from Grandma, Grandpa, Auntie Katsu and my favorite sister Marcia (only sister). They came to visit from San Jose and spent the day with us being lazy around the house. I've been so busy that I forgot to blog this earlier....that's why I'm "back bloggin' " it...

Grandma and Grandpa usually end up falling asleep on the couch but it's nice to have them visit us here in Sacramento. My sister Marcia trys to drive them here as much as she can....she lives in Scottsdale Arizona so it's nice to see her as well.

The kids know that when Auntie Marcia is in town, they'll be making and eating fresh baked onion bread, cookies and homemade rocky road......yum.

Cori is a Princess.......

Cori has been taking traditional Japanese "odori" dancing for the past 5 years and to our surprise, she has really enjoyed it! Grandma Kumamoto really wanted one of her granddaughters to take odori and Cori was the chosen one....here was her latest performance at this past weekends San Jose Spirit of Japantown.

Grandma and Grandpa coming out to watch the performance.......

Justin is hangin' with Dad while Mommy helped Cori get ready.....which is a 2 hour process.....

Baby Emi in Da' House....

Baby Emi came to party with the Kumamoto's. Luckily, her Mommy Traci was the designated driver so Baby Emi was able to party with Scott and Cori. Too bad Justin was at school or the party may have gotten out of hand.....

I hate when the women steal the remote control and drink the last beer.......
